The McPherson House will be open Saturday, November 21 from noon-4pm.
Share cider over the campfire with the soldiers led by Captain Mike Payden , 1st Ohio Volunteer Light Artillery, Battery H.
Enjoy Tracie Henson on hammered dulcimer from 1pm-3pm in the parlor.
House will be decorated for the season and costumed guides will be on hand to greet visitors.
The McPherson House is located on the corner of Maple Street and US 20 McPherson Highway.

Jim Smith from the Lorain County Historical Society was a special guest on Flag Day, Sunday June 14th.

General James B. McPherson (1828-1864) was born and raised in Clyde and graduated first in his class from West Point Academy. He was mortally wounded while leading his Union troops in the battle of Atlanta.

General McPherson's funeral and burial was held in the cemetery opposite the family home.

A monument was erected in his honor in 1881 and restored in 1985.
